B2B media companies earlier this year reported that they're bullish but realistic about revenue growth in 2025, with digital advertising and events driving most of it, assisted by subscriptions and data. Like last year's Benchmark Report, we started with where revenue growth is coming from, both over the last 12 months and going forward through the next 12 months. In 2025, it comes down to a combination of digital ads and events. In-person trade shows and conferences are back in full swing. Coupled with digital ads, these remain the top two revenue drivers.
No discussion of the media business in 2025 can be complete without addressing artificial intelligence's boom in utilization. It can't be overstated: AI has transformed every facet of the business, and there are more companies using it in some form than those that are not. Similar to last year, the replies are focused on internal efficiencies, but joined by data and research. We also uncovered what's holding back companies from reaching their full revenue potential, between the uncertain political climate, lack of talent, and other factors.
